New ownership and name; same mission for Cartmell

After 70 years as a nonprofit, Cartmell Home for the Aged is under new ownership, new management, and a new name.
Many people, however, including new Administrator Larry Beltran, hope those will be the only changes for Palestine's largest and longest-running nursing home. Beltran, an administrator for 25 years, will start managing the former nonprofit on Monday.
“Cartmell has had a great reputation,” he said. “I want to keep things going as they are.”
