Palestine, TX Has a Vibrant Art Community

Each year in Palestine, dozens of sculptures are placed throughout downtown. Regional artists participating in Palestine's Art Tracks program install their finest works to be displayed prominently throughout the Main Street District. Walking guides are available with a map showing the locations of the sculptures along with descriptions of each piece and artist information. Murals old and new can be found prominently displayed on large building walls or sometimes tucked away in alleys off the beaten path. Many old "ghost sign" advertisements can be found by those with an eye for detail.

We have a vibrant art community here so it is common to watch a show, view a new work created by a local artist or pick up something special at a gallery. We invite you to visit and enjoy everything our downtown art scene has to offer.
