Mayor urges community to shop local for holidays

As sleigh bells and cash registers start to ring, Palestine Mayor Steve Presley sent a holiday message to the community: Shop Local.
Presley told the Herald-Press he plans to partner with businesses and the local Chamber, as well as challenge city council members at their regular meeting, to come up with ways to keep more holiday jingle in Palestine, including the use of online and social media messaging.
