Palestine, Texas is a Natural Fit for Ross
Palestine is home to 18,740 residents, but it’s also an essential city within Anderson County. The Palestine Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) supports more than 58,400 residents and has a median household income of $57,445. Moving to the region makes sense for Ross because of the central location of Palestine and the target customer base.
“We typically choose locations with good visibility, high traffic, and strong co-tenancy,” says a corporate spokesperson. “The Palestine location fits all these attributes and we’re excited to join the community.”
Ross site selectors chose a high-traffic location in Palestine to attract customers. It is located directly across from Palestine High School and Palestine Middle School. The new Ross location shares space with other retailers like Hibbett Sports, Petsense, and a Dollar Tree, with Marshalls and Ulta Beauty coming soon as well. After completing the shopping excursions, customers can stop in the Whataburger, Chick-fil-A, or Cotton Patch Cafe for a quick bite.
“More retailers than ever are interested in opening store locations in Palestine,” says Christophe Trahan, Economic Development Director at PEDC. “They are noticing our growing community and want to meet the demand of residents.”
