TVCC and TDCJ Celebrate Partnership

Trinity Valley Community College and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice celebrated their longstanding partnership on Jan. 23 with a building dedication of the new TDCJ Training Facility.

The state-of-the-art facility will serve as a hub for pre-service and in-service training for TDCJ correctional officers, supporting workforce development and ensuring the highest standards of training for correctional officers.

“Today is all about partnerships,” TVCC President Dr. Jason Morrison exclaimed. “It’s all about coming together with a vision and plan. We are proud to be bringing life and growth to our Palestine Campus.”

The dedication highlighted the ongoing collaboration between TVCC and TDCJ to meet the needs of the Palestine and Anderson County community and invest in the future of the workforce.

The TDCJ Building is located on the TVCC – Palestine Campus at 2970 TX-19, Palestine, TX 75803.
