The Palestine City Council is creating a citizen committee to review and offer ideas for revisions to the existing City Charter.
The Council decided during Monday’s meeting that council members and the mayor will each appoint one member of the community to the committee. The mayor will also appoint one alternate member at large. Each member must be a resident of Palestine, with the provision that up to three members, who must be business owners within the City of Palestine, may reside outside the city limits within Anderson County.
